We're an Authorized IRS e-file Provider

All professional preparers are required by the IRS to register for an EFIN. This is the number used to e-file tax returns. In order to receive this number from the IRS a person must pass a suitability check and either have a professional credential such as CPA or EA or provide their fingerprints to the IRS. The suitability check that everyone must pass may involve a credit check, a tax compliance check, a criminal background check, and a check for prior non-compliance with IRS e-file requirements.

You can verify that Pinpoint Taxes has passed this check and is an e-file provider here. Simply click the link and scroll about halfway down to find Pinpoint Taxes listing.

Enrolled Agent Status

An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns or through experience as a former IRS employee. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.
